Halloween in the office. How to decorate your office for Halloween? Sample scenario for preparing a Halloween party

The editors of the site found out how Russian companies celebrated Halloween in their offices. The selection included Yandex, the social network Odnoklassniki, the gaming studio Pixonic, Yota and other representatives of the Russian industry.

Halloween was not celebrated centrally at Yandex, but some departments celebrated it independently. In the Moscow office of the company, administration desks on some floors were decorated and “sinister” music was played, and in the St. Petersburg division, employees could treat themselves to themed sweets.

At the office of the mobile operator Yota, the holiday is celebrated every year. In 2016, company representatives say, the office was decorated with artificial spider webs, bats and real pumpkins, and employees could try their hand at pumpkin carving during their lunch break.

Halloween celebrations took place in the St. Petersburg and Riga offices of the Odnoklassniki social network. The premises were decorated with holiday symbols: cobwebs, images of witches and bats.

Halloween was also celebrated at the office of the Moscow dress rental service Dress Up. The project’s employees went to work in themed images, decorated the room with dark cobwebs and baked sweets for the holiday.

A Halloween party was held at the Pixonic gaming studio office. Employees could try “scary” treats, take pictures in costumes, and have their looks created by professional make-up artists: “The atmosphere of Halloween was felt already in the morning - bats, pumpkins, darkness. They started having fun straight from the monthly presentation, and then there was a slightly trashy dinner - with severed heads, brains and other paraphernalia.”

We also celebrated Halloween at the recruiting agency Spice Recruitment:

In the Novosibirsk office of 2GIS, a “ghost experimental development department” worked on one of the floors.

“His employees worked on a vaccine against a virus that could destroy humanity. Soon after the experiment began, workers stopped communicating. And all that remains of the secret department is a laboratory with mysterious locations. Only once every few years, a couple of days before Halloween, on October 28, you can find yourself inside the Laboratory, from where exhausted scientists mysteriously disappeared, and experience mystical anomalies,” said company representatives.

Employees were able to try holiday treats, participate in competitions, and decorate their own workplaces and offices in the spirit of Halloween.

Employees of the Qlean cleaning service came to the office wearing festive masks.

“We tried to stylize our office: employees were surrounded by pumpkins, cobwebs were scattered everywhere, bats and ghosts hovered near the ceiling, and tombstones and bloody interior details added horror. On Friday evening, all the evil spirits gathered at the party, employees were treated to a quest and treats in the form of severed fingers, eyeballs of the dead and bloody alcoholic jelly,” said representatives of the service for travelers OneTwoTrip.

The team of the service for searching and purchasing bus tickets Busfor launched a “secret flight” in Moscow - a stylized Busfor Ghost bus with a bar from the Coctail LAB cocktail laboratory, music and actors dressed as vampires.

In the office of the gaming service Playkey, the holiday was celebrated with competitions: “Get out of a dark room, create the coolest Halloween make-up, walk along a virtual “cliff”, and as a finale - play checkers from glasses with margarita and tequila.”

Joint holidays not only bring the company’s employees together into one team, but also provide an opportunity for management to communicate the company’s values and mission in an informal setting. Standard , and the company's birthday, although they remain unshakable occasions, have become boring. A good opportunity to hold an autumn corporate event that is fun and unusual is to celebrate Halloween! It already fills city streets, as well as cafes and clubs, so why not celebrate All Saints Day with your colleagues? Relax.by has compiled a list of things you shouldn’t forget in the preparation process:

Masquerade

According to the ancient Celtic tradition, people dressed up in different costumes to make themselves scarier and ward off evil spirits. Each company has its own evil spirit, so it was created in order to drive it away. Costumes are a must in this business. It is better to warn about the need to stock up on a suit in advance, but if you realize that your employees are too busy or lazy to prepare, you can help them with this. Invite a professional make-up artist to the event - and no one will leave without horns and bloody streaks; you can also negotiate with the rental studio and select costumes that will be delivered directly to the party. To motivate your colleagues to transform, announce that there will be a competition for the best costume. So one Belarusian IT company offered an iPad to the one who dressed the scariest. Not surprisingly, every employee tried their best.

Competitions and entertainment

If not everyone in the company knows where Halloween comes from, you can start with the background of this holiday. To prevent the information from looking boring, present it in a question/answer format. A small quiz will get people excited and get them talking. It is better to leave the above-mentioned competition with costumes for the finals, and before it arrange fortune-telling in various ways. The competition for the best carved pumpkin-lantern is going well, for which you will have to stock up on small pumpkins, convenient knives and candles. As an alternative to the competition, there can be a small master class on pumpkin carving.

One of the main elements of Halloween, the broom is a great tool for games. You can dance with it, pass it without hands, and also use the principle of driving a round dance around chairs - manage to sit on it on time. In fact, many mystical things attract attention and create excitement, so your corporate party will definitely not be boring. If everyone is tired of dancing, have a séance of spiritualism or call upon the “Tooth Fairy”, just like in childhood.

Festive table

Almost any dish can be styled for Halloween, from sushi to pizza. However, we are already talking about the hellish menu. The easiest way, of course, is to order designer desserts in the form of evil spirits, spiders and severed fingers. They can also be replaced with funny gelatines: worms, jaws, eyes. If you decide to celebrate a corporate event in a restaurant, many of them will offer a special menu for October 31, not only decorated, but also based on pumpkin dishes - the hero of this holiday.

In addition to food, don't forget to prepare holiday drinks. The simplest thing is Bloody Mary, served in beakers, as for testing. There are other mystical cocktails: black widow, cosmic punch. Their recipe can be anything, the main thing is to add syrups that give special colors - black, green, blue. You can decorate the glasses with the same gelatin or licorice sticks.

Decor

The decoration of the banquet hall for the celebration will most likely be done by the restaurant itself, or you can turn to professional decorators who can use elements of your corporate style, company history and other important components. We invite you to also think about office decoration. You can start with lighting: replace it on this day with something more mysterious, for example, candles. If you are afraid that such changes will interfere with the work process, you can start introducing them at the end of the working day. The windows can be curtained with dark curtains. The easiest way to decorate is a pumpkin lantern. A homemade cobweb hung in the corners of furniture and chairs will look original. Bats can be easily cut out of thick black paper and can be glued anywhere with double-sided tape. Purchased ready-made lanterns, skulls, and garlands are also easy to use and clean up later. Believe me, not only your employees, but also clients, especially if they come to the office, will be surprised and inspired by the festive creative atmosphere in the company.

Party concept

To make it more interesting to choose costumes, come up with a more conceptual holiday theme than just Halloween. It may be related to the type of activity of your company or your favorite films or games. For example, "Twilight" or "Vampire Symposium". Everyone sits in a conference room dressed as ghouls and discusses pressing issues. You can throw black and red cloaks over the chairs and dim the lights, serve only tomato juice and minimally cooked steaks. “The Ball of Evil Spirits” refers us to “The Master and Margarita” and “Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka”. The costumes he wears can be very different, the main thing is to do bad things and dance. More modern motifs are "Sin City", where you can meet superheroes - good and bad, "Devil's Clinic" with the popular theme of doctors and other Houses, as well as "Zombie Land", against vegetables, if you want.

We create a festive mood in the office without interrupting work

To make Halloween a real holiday, you don’t need to make a lot of effort - you just need to devote just an hour to it. Here are some tips from IGate on how to create a festive atmosphere without being distracted from your work process.

Quickly decorate your office

If you don’t have time to decorate your premises, don’t despair. An artificial web will help you turn a cozy office into an ancient crypt in just 10-15 minutes. On holidays, online stores will deliver it in a couple of hours.

Complete with cobwebs, you can order special garlands of bats or witches. But if you don’t want to spend money on disposable tinsel, you can print out several bats and hang them yourself. And using napkins, tape or ribbons, create a swarm of little ghosts. Creating one such ghost will only take one minute.

Agree, half an hour of preparation is worth two days of joy. After all, Halloween officially ends on the night of October 31st to November 1st.

Set the festive table

The traditional symbol of Halloween is the Joe pumpkin. But carving a “smiling friend” from a pumpkin is time-consuming and inconvenient. Therefore, we recommend arming yourself with a permanent marker and creating several dozen of his friends from ordinary tangerines. We checked that it takes no more than 10 seconds to create one face. You can buy fruit or even order it delivered directly to your office at your nearest store.

In addition to tangerines, you can serve “bloody cupcakes” to the Halloween table. Firstly, it’s stylish, secondly, it’s delicious, and thirdly, it doesn’t require much time to prepare. You can order cupcakes in the same store. And if you add a can of condensed milk and a packet of food coloring and mix them in the correct proportion, the blood turns out to be quite impressive.

In autumn, instead of cold cocktails, you want warm tea. And on Halloween this drink will also decorate the table. If you make tea from lemon, ginger and ordinary basil, you will get a very tasty and aromatic drink. By varying the amount of basil in your tea, you can achieve not only pink, but also blue and even dark purple color of the drink.

Festive mood without effort

If a decorated office and a festive table are not enough for you, you can arrange a holiday for your employees by ordering a make-up artist. This service will cost from 200 to 500 hryvnia per hour, while on average the master will spend from seven to ten minutes on one image.

Do you have your own artist in your team? Amazing! You can order face painting online for 80-100 UAH with delivery.

If you don’t want to leave in the evening, organize competitions. You can try to work together between departments to carve the most creative pumpkin head. Or quickly eat an apple suspended on a rope without touching it with your hands.

What can you find on the Internet

A group of Ukrainian marketplaces EVO showed how you can create a Halloween look from the goods and services presented online.

By the way, before leaving home, you can give your colleagues a surprise. To do this, just take a pack of eye stickers and “revive” all the equipment in the office. You are guaranteed a sea of emotions on Monday morning.

And this is how they celebrate Halloween in Ukrainian IT companies

Startup incubator "1991 Open Data Incubator".

Scary, funny and incredibly cute Halloween is approaching: a whirlwind of sweets, pumpkins, horror stories and carnival costumes. We have collected three fiery examples of how you can organize a corporate All Saints Day: from meeting a real vampire to a panic room for adults.

Scary, funny and incredibly cute Halloween is approaching: a whirlwind of sweets, pumpkins, horror stories and carnival costumes. We have collected three fiery examples of how you can organize a corporate All Saints Day: from meeting a real vampire to a panic room for adults.

Very nice, vampire!

Remember when we told the story of how the whole department received a real letter inviting them to a party with a vampire? A beautiful envelope with a stamp that invited you to a reception with the mysterious Mr. Kaminsky. Having arrived at the address, employees found themselves in a decorated restaurant and ended up at a questoria"Vampire's Kiss" . So, last Halloween, the vampire decided to hand out a similar invitation in person!

A couple of weeks before Halloween, a stately man in ancient clothes entered a Kiev office: a frock coat, a top hat, and a cane. He bowed, ornately greeted the stunned employees and handed each an envelope with an invitation. He kissed the ladies' hands (dangerously close to the wrists), and the men received a polite bow. It was assumed that after the invitations to the questoria were presented, the vampire would sedately leave the premises, but we did not foresee that everyone would want to take a selfie with him :) So the poor guy had to take the rap and pose for Instagram!

The invitation was about a secret party on October 31st, which would take place in a small cafe next to the office. On day X, all guests were treated to a hall decorated to look like a vampire mansion, Halloween cupcakes and drinks (Bloody Mary couldn’t be avoided, as well as red champagne!), dry ice steaming in medieval bowls on the table... Everyone immersed themselves to the questoria"Vampire's Kiss" - a three-hour mystical detective story about the confrontation between supernatural beings. Costumes were selected for the participants - monastic robes, black satin cloaks, hats with veils, and canes. For the photo zone, we found an almost real chopping block with a huge fake axe, shackles and a skeleton.

How to organize:easily! Our actor played the role of the vampire. Our manager took care of the menu, decoration of the hall and other organizational details. The client only needed to agree on the concept and budget once; we did the rest. A questoria has been released with a luxurious backstory and the atmosphere of a mystical film.

Coffin on wheels

The Saratov branch of a well-known IT company asked, in addition toevening questoria organize short entertainment for employees during the working day.

We thought and set up a panic room. Remember when you were a child? Darkness, scary music, decor and someone scary lurking in the corner! Our panic room had a short story and took an average of 20 minutes to complete. So any employee of the company could gather his associates and go towards the horror.

The heart of the panic room was... the coffin. Our franchisee Anton Mizulin personally put it together from boards, loaded it onto the roof of the car and took it to the customer’s office. The reaction of those around him was unpredictable: the traffic police allowed him to park the car in the wrong place, passers-by walked around Anton in a wide arc, no one wanted to ride in the same elevator as the coffin.

As the coffin was transported along the office corridor, employees hid in their offices and peered through the windows: what-what-what-happened? So we unwittingly gave people a dose of adrenaline even before the holiday began. And in the evening they organized an unforgettable “Secret Party” for the participants - it allowed to involve a hundred people in a dashingly twisted adventure!

How to organize:Just! The panic room requires a separate darkened room. And we will find the props, script and actors.

Corporate party in the lair of a maniac

Usually quests take place in a cafe - it’s comfortable to play there and you can have a snack. But one St. Petersburg bank asked to organize a “step out of the comfort zone” for its managers. Therefore, the location of the game was chosen to be the house of a maniac.

The house, of course, is not entirely real: we rented space from a questroom dedicated to the theme of serial killers. It was a whole basement with really scary rooms: a bloody bathtub with organs hanging on hooks, a kitchen with “supplies” made of human flesh, a gloomy living room with secret doors. While we were preparing the game, we ourselves were scared. And when they turned on the music and dimmed the lights, the horror set in. At first, the players hesitated for a long time to go inside: they had to escort each one almost by the hand. And in such a place the guests unraveledMysterious murders on Roanoke Island !

The players admitted that at first they were afraid to step aside, but then they got used to it and invited each other to have a secret conversation “to where the head lies on the shelf.”

How to organize:elementary! It is better to entrust the choice of an atmospheric room to us. And we sincerely advise you not just to play a creepy quest room with your colleagues, but to use it as an environment for a questoria. Because several dozen people can participate in our games at once, they last three hours - and there are so many stories that your head will spin. It’s more fun than getting out of the room in an hour, and the impressions are many times richer.

Lifehacks on how to make your corporate Halloween even cooler:

Themed treat. The simplest option is “terrible” sweets and cupcakes, they are now made almost everywhere. A Halloween-style cake is also a great option; we will help you find a bakery.

Performance with an actor. A vampire, a zombie, a werewolf - anyone can come to your office! We will organize this with pleasure.

Make-up artist and photographer. A professional make-up artist can “decorate” a person with an intricate scar, fangs or zombie makeup in 15 minutes. And the photographer will make an excellent photo report: after all, Halloween always takes place in a darkened room, so professional equipment is needed for filming. In addition, our photographers know the scenarios well - and know how to catch the best moment for photography!

Dry ice is every decorator's friend. It's cheap, but when placed in hot water it produces an absolutely cinematic mist. A very cool special effect, yet accessible to everyone.

Live lighting. Candles instantly create an incredible atmosphere. Just don’t forget about reliable candlesticks. And it is better to place candles where the players cannot reach - in the center of the table, for example.

We will be happy to do it for you and your colleaguesgreat halloween : We’ll organize a questoria and select an atmospheric location (or decorate your office). You can have a gala party, you can have small short games during the day, or better yet, all at once! We also have a photographer, costume, make-up artists, actors, proven and great. Call us and we’ll tell you in more detail what can be arranged to suit your specific request and budget.

Halloween is a holiday whose history began in the territory of modern Great Britain.

On this night, according to the ancient belief of the Celts, the worlds of the living opened their doors, and the inhabitants of the otherworldly dead world made their way to earth. Despite the ancient serious meaning, Halloween has now turned into an interesting, fun holiday with a bright thematic design.

Do you want to decorate your office by October 31, but don’t know where to start? We offer you several simple but original ideas:

1. Silhouette outside the window.

Window decoration is one of the most difficult tasks when designing decorative designs. On New Year's Day we decorate windows with paper snowflakes or rain, on March 8 and February 23 - with garlands or drawings.

But how can you decorate a window in an unusual way for an unusual holiday for Russia - Halloween?

An excellent solution would be a silhouette of a man with empty eyes made from dark paper. The first to be frightened are the employees who pull back the curtains in the morning. But even after that, the gloomy silhouette will be indispensable for maintaining the spirit of the holiday.

2. Balls instead of pumpkins.

No holiday is complete without balloons! Choose plain orange balls and draw faces with a black marker, like on traditional pumpkins.

For added deterrence, place a bright green lamp behind the balls.

3. Body contours on the floor.

Another unusual decoration will be the outlines of a dead person on the floor.

Imagine yourself as a criminal investigator! Get one employee to pose as a corpse, give it an unnatural pose, and outline it with chalk or white sticky paper.

Don't you think this is scary enough? Draw the outline of a leg or arm at a significant distance from the outline of the body.

4. Garland of paper ghosts

The simplest, but at the same time the best decor element will be a garland of paper ghosts.

Take a square-shaped sheet, put a crumpled piece of paper in the middle and tie it with a rope. You will get a little ghost, all you have to do is draw his eyes and hang him on a bundle with the others.
